Our scientific activities involve the use of two electron linear accelerators, ALIN10 and ALID7 built at INFLPR. These are research facilities of national importance due to their unique capability of producing electron beams with energy up to 7 MeV. The goal of our research is to discover techniques and technologies based on the use of electron beams for the development of strategic areas of the national economy. Applications are in environmental protection, chemical processing, materials processing, medicine and food security. These two facilities are also available for external users who are interested in their own research projects or in collaborations with our laboratory. The linacs are authorized by our national regulatory nuclear agency CNCAN. |
